Family...

We had a wonderful time this Christmas with family. I am so glad
that my children will grow up and have 1st cousins. I missed out
on that growing up.
We had Rigby Christmas at our house this year the Monday
before Christmas. Bebe and Pawpaw Bo brought steaks and they
were delicious. Nick could hardly contain himself with all of his
excitement to open presents.
We celebrated with my family at Uncle B's house the Saturday
after Christmas with a shrimp boil. Tim did an excellent job on
the shrimp. The celebration also included Maddie's birthday.
Those 3 kids wanted to open presents as soon as dinner
was over.
We finished up the celebrating with Tim's mom and Steve
the Sunday after Christmas at Uncle Mike's house. Aunt Jess
cooked a wonderful lasagna and cheese cake. Enjoy the many
pictures below. We had a blessed and happy Christmas.

Our tree. I had a hard time keeping a certain new 2 year old

Santa Claus Came to Town...

I have one that's up at the crack of dawn and one that likes to sleep in.
Can you guess which is which? AK is always up first. She woke Nick up
Christmas morning. I mentioned Santa and he was up lickety split!!
We had a lazy morning in our pajamas just the four of us. It was great.
I cooked lunch and we didn't leave the house except for a run for batteries!!

AK got a stove with cookies. She says, "I cookin, I cookin".
Santa brought Nick some new boots to go hunting with his dad.
Sure wish Santa could find that Leapster he hid in the closet!!

The guitar. He has talked about this for months. Santa really came through.

The princess cooks.
Love it!!

I think this is Nick's favorite thing from Santa. It's a four dollar shaving kit from Target.
It's Lighting McQueen. He has wanted to shave like his daddy.

Love the tutu and boots!

Jimmy Johnson. Enough said.

Nascar underwear. This kid loves him some Nascar.
Not sure what I'm going to do about this.

My favorite gift from Santa.

We had a blessed and wonderful Christmas. Happy Birthday Jesus!!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve Trip...

We took a little trip to Monroeville and to Beatrice on Christmas Eve.
Our first stop was at Mawmaw and Pawpaw Hutcherson's house.
Both kids were asleep when we got there, so I forgot to take my camera
in. Pawpaw gave both kids a football. Our next stop was at Uncle Danny and
Aunt Carolyn's house. The kids had a great time playing with the reindeer car
and the dancing Santa. Aunt Carolyn was great to give both kids popsicles and
suckers for the road. We also got to see Mack and Kim and took a quick peek
at baby Carter. Our trip then took us to Beatrice to see Aunt Ruby. I don't
think I have missed very many Christmas Eves in Beatrice except for being sick
or pregnant. This is such a tradition in my family. We made a quick stop at
Grandmama's house and headed home before the weather got bad.
AK with Aunt Ruvey as she calls her.
Nick checking out Uncle Marshall's fish.

Rearranging Aunt Ruby's magnets. She collects them from different places.

The cuzes posing for a picture.
Maddie was not feeling well and stayed at home.
Cheese!!!

When we got home we put out the reindeer food for Rudolf.
What a mess!!

Nick thought we needed more.

We then decorated a few cookies for Santa.

We usually leave carrots for Rudolf, but we had to improvise and leave him
some lettuce. Hope reindeer like salad mix!!

Christmas Cards and Programs...

I worked really hard to get this picture for our Christmas cards.
This was our third photo session and third set of popsicles!!
Enjoy the outtakes!! Believe me there are lots of them I
didn't post.

This one made the card.
Somebody is really funny!!

Are we done yet??? No more.

Nicholas had his Christmas program on December 7th. He did such a good job. His class
sang "O Little Town of Bethlehem". We were so proud of him. He actually sang!! He
didn't just stand there. He has come such a long way this year. His teachers made them
the sweetest Christmas tree shirts. He loved that baby Jesus was in the manger.

Singing his heart out. Sorry the picture is so blurry.

Posing with daddy. They had a
birthday party for Jesus after the program.

Nicholas is part of the children's choir on Sunday night. This is a picture from
their practice. Look on the the bottom row and see who else wants to be a member.
AK had the must fun practicing with the choir. She wanted to sing so bad!! The
choir sang "Happy Birthday Jesus" at the candle light service. It is such a
sweet song. It's on the play list if you want to listen. They did an awesome job.

Getting Ready for Christmas...

We have been so busy this month. The week that school gets out is one of
my busiest weeks of the year!! Here's just a little of what we have been
doing this month. Both kids got an Advent calendars with chocolate candies.
Nick loved this!! He got so excited everyday to find another piece of candy.

Sable's choral group had a breakfast with Santa to raise money
for a trip they are taking. The kids got to paint and eat lots
of great breakfast food.

Nick got his face painted at the breakfast. We had a family
picture made with Santa since AK would not sit in his lap.

Nick wrote his letter to Santa. He wants a remote control car and a guitar.
AK just wants gummies!! Wish it could always be this easy!!

The Tuesday before Christmas we took a trip to Bellingrath Gardens
to see the lights. The weather was great and there were lots of
people. Nick wanted his picture made at every stop!!

AK had to have her picture made too.

Mine and Nick's favorite were the blue Christmas trees!
